| Description | Country | Criticality | Rule category | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deprecated post code format identified (Argentina) | The postal code (CPA, Código Postal Argentino) formats of Argentina changed in 1999 from a block of 4 digits to a block of 8 characters having the format: ANNNNAAA. This rule searches for the old post code format: NNNN. | AR (Argentina) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Cambodia) | This rule identifies the old five digit post code format of Cambodia which was replaced since 2018 by a 6 digit post code. | KH (Cambodia) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Honduras) | This rule identifies the "old" post code format of Honduras. Honduras once introduced a postal code of 6 alphanumeric characters in the format AA9999 that replaced a 5 digit postal code. To our knowledge as of today the 5 digit postal code is again commonly used and replaced the 6 digit one. | HN (Honduras) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Kazakhstan) | This rule searches for the "Old" post code format of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan introduced a new seven-character postal code (pochtovye indeksy) system in 2016 to replace its six-digit (999999) code that had been in use since 1997. The new code has seven alpha-numeric characters (for example D03K5Y2) and each code is intended to represent a single building. The new system is currently working in parallel with the old system, as many people continue to use the 6-digit codes. | KZ (Kazakhstan) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Mauritius) | This rule searches for the old post code format of Mauritius that consisted of 7 alphanumeric digits. | MU (Mauritius) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Portugal) | This rule searches for the "Old" post code format of Portugal which consists of 4 digits: NNNN. The Portuguese postal service (C.T.T.) has changed the postal code system in 1999-2000. The old codes (Código Postal) consisted of a block of 4 digits, starting with a number between 1 and 9. In 1999, three extra digits were added to this code. It is likely to find postal codes with 4 or 7 digits for a transition period. In the new codes, the seven digits is formatted: NNNN-NNN. The first four digits will correspond to the old postal code. When the old four-digit code was still in use, large users were indicated by the word CODEX after the name of the town. Now that the seven-digit code is used, the word CODEX should no longer be found in or used for addresses. | PT (Portugal) | ERROR | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (South Korea) | This rule searches for the "Old" post code format of Korea which consists of 6 digits. The six-digit postal code was abolished on August 1, 2015, to be replaced with the current five-digit system that uses a simpler nnnnn format. | KR (South Korea) | ERROR | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Taiwan) | This rule searches for the "Old" post code format of Taiwan which consists of 3+2 digits: NNN-NN. The official launch of three + three digit postal codes occurred on March 3, 2020 in order to support more fine grained delivery section codes. The initial three digit division codes remain unchanged, only the supplemental two digits were updated to three digits. The previous three + two digit system had been in service for 29 years, since February 1, 1991. As of November 2020, three + two digit postal codes are still in common use and accepted by the post office. | TW (Taiwan) | INFO | Postal code outdated (rule category) |
| Deprecated post code format identified (Vietnam) | This rule checks the old post code format of Vietnam. Vietnam changed its postal code system from 5- to 6-digits in 2004 and then reverted back to a 5-digit system in 2018. The rule checks 6-digits post code. | VN (Viet Nam) | INFO | Postal code format (rule category) |

These codes will cover groups of buildings (odd- and even-numbered by street, or by block), a much finer area than the current code.
