Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept. Description The IRUS (Unique Company Registration Identifier) is a 13-digit alphanumeric code automatically generated when a company is registered in Spain’s Commercial Registry. This unique identifier is recorded in the company’s electronic folio and ensures accurate identification of registered entities.

Since July 2024, registrars have been required to include the IRUS in official documents, such as Form 038 (the Informative Declaration on transactions by entities listed in public registries). This measure helps standardize and streamline legal and administrative processes.
