Release details

In our latest data quality rules update we have introduced few new rules, we have slightly improved regular expressions for different kinds of rules and we have changed criticlaity of two of them. The list of the changes is the following:

  • We have updated the following regular expresions for checking:
    • VAT Registration Number in Bosnia and Herzegovina [1]
    • LEI identifier [2]
    • Business Registration Number (Germany) [3]
    • RFC number (Mexico) [4]
    • VAT registration number (United Kingdom) [5]
    • Business Registration Number (LI) [6]
    • Taxpayer identification number (Philippines) [7]
    • Business Registration Number (Malaysia) [8]
    • CIF number (Spain) [9]
    • The Common business identifier (Morocco) [10]
    • Post code format in Egypt [11]
  • We have changed regular expressions for checking format of EU VAT (EU_VAT_ID_XX) identifiers in order be more restrictive. In some cases you can expect bigger number of data defects. In other words, those rules are now less tolerant.
  • We have changed regular expression for "Unallowed name value pattern" [12] to be more tolerant.
  • Improved EORI validation logic for EU and UK registrations. We have refined the validation rules for EORI numbers to make the results clearer and more reliable. An EORI number — Economic Operators Registration and Identification number — is used by companies and other economic operators for customs-related processes. With this update, EU EORI numbers and UK EORI numbers are now handled more explicitly against the correct register context. This prevents misleading validation results in cases where, for example, an EU EORI number was checked against the UK register or a UK EORI number was checked against an EU register. As a result, users receive more accurate feedback and clearer rule results when validating customs identifiers.

With all the mentioned changes we have significantly improved Data Quality Rules in order to provide better results with higher accuracy and quality. All changes are already available.
