Release details

We have extended the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) data source with additional external identifiers to improve entity resolution and data enrichment capabilities.
Newly available identifiers:

  • QCC Code

A unique company identifier assigned by the Qichacha platform. It enables cross-referencing LEI records with a large global database of company information, particularly valuable for entities with exposure to Asian markets and alternative data sources.

  • OpenCorporates ID

An identifier used in the OpenCorporates database, structured as: country prefix / (optional subnational code) / company number This identifier facilitates direct linkage to official company register entries aggregated by OpenCorporates, making it useful for validation, enrichment, and jurisdiction-specific lookups.

  • Additionally, LEI records may include national identifiers (e.g., KVK_NL), sourced directly from official country registries. These identifiers further enhance matching accuracy in local and regulatory contexts.

Impact:

  • Improved match rates through additional high-quality external identifiers
  • Easier integration with third-party data providers (Qichacha, OpenCorporates)
  • Better coverage of jurisdiction-specific identification via national registry IDs
