Description Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is a standard used by Federal statistical agencies for the purpose of collecting, analyzing and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. A subset of these are options on the business registration form used in the administration of the City and County's tax code.
