Description Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept. | Is a term used to describe large recipients of mail or parcels (in Germany - "Grossempfänger"). These are organizations or individuals who receive a high volume of mail or parcels on a regular basis, such as businesses, government agencies, or large residential buildings.
To facilitate the delivery of mail and parcels to these large recipients, Germany has special postal codes called "Großempfänger-Postleitzahlen" or "GE-Postleitzahlen" (GEPLZ). These postcodes are assigned to the large recipients and are used by postal carriers to ensure that the mail and parcels are delivered to the correct recipient. The GE-Postleitzahlen are different from regular postal codes in that they do not correspond to a specific geographic area. Instead, they are assigned to the large recipient's address and are used only for mail and parcel delivery to that specific recipient. The use of GE-Postleitzahlen helps to streamline the delivery process for large recipients and ensure that their mail and parcels are delivered quickly and efficiently. |
