Acronym (CDQ.POOL) | An acronym commonly used for a business partner. It differs from shortnames (e.g. shortname of the name local) by being an interchangeable name for the company, whereas shortnames may just be composed of abbreviated terms of a name (e.g. Industrial is abbreviated by IND or Engineering by ENG) | ACRONYM |
Branch (CDQ.POOL) | Tthe main registered name for a branch of a legal entity. | BRANCH |
Business Partner Doing Business As (CDQ.POOL) | Alternative names a company employs for doing business (very common in USA), otherwise Trading Name or Brand. | DOING_BUSINESS_AS |
Establishment Name (CDQ.POOL) | DEPRECATED - Name that is used in conjunction with the registered name to name a specific organizational unit (such as branch, department etc.) | ESTABLISHMENT |
Healthcare Professional Name (CDQ.POOL) | Name for healthcare professionals | HEALTHCARE_PROFESSIONAL |
International Name (CDQ.POOL) | The international version (i.e. English name, Latin characters without accents) of the Local Name (CDQ.POOL) of a business partner. | INTERNATIONAL |
Legal Name (CDQ.POOL) | The main name under which a legal entity is officially registered in a country's business register. The Legal name does not necessarily comprise a legal form (e.g. abbreviated) in all countries. Usually, a business register ID is uniquely associated with this name. | LEGAL |
Local Name (CDQ.POOL) | The business partner name identifies a business partner in a given context, e.g. a country or region. Per definition it uses local language and character sets. It is constructed by CDL algorithms based on the registered name (if available). This name may differ from the registered name, e.g. when the registered name does not comprise a legal form the CDL standardizes the name by extending it with the main abbreviation of a given legal form (e.g. by the business register). If e.g. no registered name is available then this name might be generated from a CDL member's input name by removing contact information, additional doing business as names, or additional contexts (e.g. department or business unit names) and harmonizing an identified legal form (e.g. replacing GmbH+CO.KG. with the main abbreviation defined in the reference data: GmbH & Co. KG) | LOCAL |
Other Name (CDQ.POOL) | Any other alternative name used for a company, such as a specific language variant | OTHER |
Registered Name (CDQ.POOL) | DEPRECATED - A registered name is an official name recorded in places like a company registry, but it's not a legal entity name. For example, it could be a branch name or establishment titles. | REGISTERED |
Transliterated Name (CDQ.POOL) | DEPRECATED - The transliterated name is not an officially used name, but a construct that helps to better find business partners with registered names in non-latin characters (e.g. China, Japan, Korea). It is automatically generated from the registered name or the name local (if the registered name is not available). Main use case is that a search input with non-latin characters is transliterated on the fly and then used for searching against the transliterated name (in addition to other search strategies). | TRANSLITERATED |
VAT Registered Name (CDQ.POOL) | The name which is associated with the VAT number of a business partner, i.e. the name stored in a VAT register. For example, the legal entities under the umbrella of one corporation often use the same VAT number (sometimes called the "group VAT"). The name associated with such a group VAT usually differs from the legal entities name registered in the business register of a country. Another example are sole proprietors that are doing business with a name different than their private name, whereas the VAT is registered with the private name of the sole proprietor. | VAT_REGISTERED |
