Temporary suspension of UK.VAT data source

We would like to inform you that the data source "HM Revenue and Customs VAT Check" (UK.VAT) is currently unavailable for updates in our Data Clinic service. Additionally, no new business partner data is available in the BP Lookup service. The status of this data source has changed from LIVE to DISCONTINUED.
This means that the data source will no longer provide new business partner data or updates to existing records. However, historical data from this source will remain accessible.

This situation follows a change in HMRC's data access policy in February this year. Previously, the data was available through an open API; however, HMRC now requires registration and compliance with several requirements to access the new API. Despite our efforts, we have not yet obtained access to this new API.

We are actively working to restore access to this data source and will provide further updates as soon as possible.
