Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept. Description NACE is the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (fr. "La Nomenclature statistique des Activités économiques dans la Communauté Européenne", hence NACE). It is a classification system for economic activities comprising 615 four-digit codes. Since 2009 , it has been used by the EFTA countries and several Central European countries.
