Description Informal and comprehensive human-readable definition of a concept. Geopolitical risk is the risk of financial, market or personnel losses because of political decisions or disruptions that threat global supply chains. E.g. business operations have been affected by sanctions for Russian companies and individuals. Environmental risks are e.g. extreme weather events, earthquakes, tsunamis etc. Companies need transparency in their value chain on such risks related to customers and suppliers and judge on the potential impact of events. Only this allows for taking actions to mitigate and reduce the adverse impacts. An event in one country may cause major challenges in the value chain, e.g. when the supply of parts is disrupted. CDQ enriches addresses with geolocation information, e.g. altitude of a warehouse. Indicators for the likelihood of environmental events for the whole business partner database are made transparent by a dashboard. Indicators for political risks are monitored from "signals" in the web, e.g. new trade agreements affecting a country and thus the partners are collected. Alerts for potential changes in the political situation or as well alerts for a currently ongoing environmental disaster are triggered incl. the affected suppliers and customers.
